We just broke the news earlier tonight that Facebook is launching a newer, simplified version of the Facebook platform, called Facebook Lite. This news comes only a day after Facebook made its blockbuster acquisition of FriendFeed and rolled out its Realtime Facebook Search. You may be asking yourself “what the heck is Facebook Lite?” or maybe “why would Facebook launch a stripped-down version of its website?” We’re here to answer those questions, and we have screenshots of the new Facebook Lite to help us out.
1. What is Facebook Lite?
A: It is a completely stripped-down version of the Facebook platform. From what we can tell, it is almost like a Twitterstream: you can see your most recent status updates and the updates of your friends. There is a left-hand navigation with four main categories: Wall, Info, Friends, and Photos & Videos. It does little more than that.

Edit toolbar improvements
New-and-improved icons make it clearer what action each tool performs. Expandable sections reduce clutter while keeping infrequently used tools just a click away. The help section provides quick access to a reference for common uses of wiki-markup.

Did Twitter, Facebook, LiveJournal, YouTube, Google Sites and Google’s Blogger all get attacked yesterday to silence one man? According to the testimony of a Facebook executive, they did.
A blogger in the Republic of Georgia with the username Cyxymu was the victim, according to Facebook’s chief security officer Max Kelly. The claims cement earlier reports that social networking sites have been dragged into the Georgia-Russia crisis, leading to the first simultaneous attack on the largest social media sites. Kelly told CNet::
“It was a simultaneous attack across a number of properties targeting him to keep his voice from being heard. We’re actively investigating the source of the attacks and we hope to be able to find out the individuals involved in the back end and to take action against them if we can.”
Google is quoted as saying:
“We are aware that a handful of non-Google sites were impacted by a DOS attack this morning, and are in contact with some affected companies to help investigate this attack. Google systems prevented substantive impact to our services.”
As part of the attack, spam was sent to LiveJournal users that appeared to come from cyxymu.

Hello There
This is to bring to your notice that , our host had been facing some downtime , due to memory overloads – due to which Online Geeks was facing many – Out of Memory errors .
Most of this has been fixed and they are also planning to upgrading their servers by adding more RAM
” server snoopy back online
Snoopy was on and off for maybe about an hour or more today, due to all the memory being sucked up. All sites should be back online. We have suspended one site which was using a lot of memory. The server should be stable for now though.
We will make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thank you. “ —– Hybrid-Host.net (Tyreus Paid hosting)
I have not encountered this error for now , but there might be chances of this error coming up again . If not everything will be fine and normal.
Thank you
