Egypt blocks Internet access and SMS

Several Reports show that Egypt is suffering an internet Outage as the protest continues to refuse President Hosni Mubarak from continuing to remain in power even after 30 years . The Major Italy Based Internet Service provider in Egypt has said that there would be no incoming or outgoing traffic after 12:30 am Local time .

Google Announces API for it’s URL shortener

Google had released and API for it’s short URL http://goo.gl , allowing users to integrate the Google URL shortener into their websites and Blogs and also at the same time shorten long URL’s easily through a standard interface . This would be a step forward for Google as it adds ups another service for it’s users , the URL shortening service .

Wondering About Choosing A New TV?

Large, flat screen TVs are more commonplace than ever in endless public areas and warehouses as well as of course, our homes. Can you really remember the times when the whole family actually thought a 19 inch cathode ray tubed television was of a sufficient size to watch an evening’s entertainment?! Nobody really complained about the screen size, then, we were just grateful that you got moving pictures, mostly in colour!

Google’s New Android Music App Leaks

A recent post at the xda-developers forum shows us a Video footage of the Android Music player , which was seen at the Google I/O 2010 where a demo was showed off , describing the new features of the Music player . The music application makes use of Cooliris , similar to the one used in the Photo Gallery on the Nexus one and couple of other devices .

Gingerbread running on the Nokia N900

The Developers of the NITdroid project for the Nokia N8x0 and N900 tablets have once again broken boundaries and have successfully ported the latest Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread on to the N900 . The N900 has all the required Hardware power and has managed to run previous version of Android ( like FroYo 2.2 and 2.2.1 ) .

Skype Brings Back Group Video Calling

It’s Holiday season and Skype after the recent outage has recovered from it and has brought back each feature online at a time . The engineers had managed to stabilize Skype by creating Dedicated super nodes . Earlier Group calling and IM were not available , out of which Group calling was restored back yesterday . Skype is planning to investigate much deeper into what had actually cause the problem and a detailed information regarding it would be published a week later .

Nexus S Review
