Galaxiki : The editable fictional galaxy adds 100 new features

Galaxiki is a fictional galaxy that allows it’s community member’s to edit and add their own stars , planets , black-holes and moons . It has a really sleek Galaxy map that allows you to explore and search for random stars , edit their names and also create and write descriptions about their location and about their atmospheric properties on the wiki page .

They state that  ” Many photographies used on this site are by NASA, they are in the public domain.”

You get to customize and add alien like creatures on your planets in the solar system and at the same time find people to communicate with on their Social Networking page  . There are lots more left to discover in the mysterious galaxy and just as interesting as this gets , Galaxiki introduces 100 new features on their web 2.0 interface .

They release an update describing the new features :

“In July 2011 we’ve introduced Galaxiki 2.5, the latest version which offers more than 100 new features. It is now possible to edit most of the solar system physics, you can add or edit planetary rings and the site offers a new search engine. There are also lots of new social networking features including solar system ratings and comments, bookmarks, user awards and user status updates.”

Their new features include bug fixes and additional improvements . Some of which are – The new “Like Feature ” in the community ,  saving favorite users and adding notes , checking on your stalkers (haha ) – more like seeing who’s online and who has visited your profile , more control over privacy in “Stealth mode ” , ability to purchase your own solar system for $1 , editable physics as in we described as properties of your planets , ratings and much more .

Galaxiki 3.0 has already been scheduled for launch in the late 2011 with more features to be added in the near future .
