After the recent Malware outbreak on March 1st on Android devices , Google has now found a way to remotely remove the Malware and disinfect the virus from several devices . The Malware was found on several thousand applications in the Google Android App market , which allowed the hackers to easily gain inner access to the device by making use of rootkits.
It was seen that 21 popular applications for android had been injected by this rootkit malware . Google had also succesfully removed all the Malicious applications from the application market and in respect of this had also informed the law enforcements to look into the source of the attack .
This was not known to be of a bigger concern for Devices running android 2.2.2 and later . As far hackers have only known to steal up not very sensitive information , but it was possible for them to snatch sensitive data from the phone.
The Google team has thus released a new Android Market Security Update (announcement made on it’s blog )for all users which would be available and noticeable by all soon . Users of already infected devices would receive an email from – email@example.com within the next 72 hours as said .
So once again Google saves the day and brings in mobile security into a great concern .
