Youtube was hacked Yesterday targeting Justin Bieber , the teenage Pop Singer . There existed a vulnerability on the Top Video streaming website , Youtube . The Site was affected for almost 2 hours , while Google had decided to take action to fix the vulnerability saying

“We took swift action to fix a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability [which allows hackers to place code into a site] on youtube.com that was discovered several hours ago. Comments were temporarily hidden by default within an hour, and we released a complete fix for the issue in about two hours. We’re continuing to study the vulnerability to help prevent similar issues in the future.”

The Hackers had managed to abuse a flaw in the site which allowed them to redirect YouTube users to adult sites and send them fake pop-up messages.

Google at it’s support forum had received concerns from users about the problem .

The Internet Community 4Chan has been trying to play against Justin Bieber and has been a target to many of the Justin Bieber pranks . According to BBC News ” Last month, a post on 4Chan urged users to all search for the term “Justin Bieber Syphilis” pushing it to the top of Google Trend’s Hot Searches list.”

“There have also been false rumours circulating that Bieber had died, that he had joined a cult, and that his mother was offered $50,000 to pose topless in Playboy magazine.”

Google had managed to Fix the Bug and the vulnerability on Youtube within 2 Hours from the time of the attack .
