Hack Attempt – FAIL !

Well , Today morning i woke up , Had a cup of coffee and Started to browse. Well for a bitter surprise , The websites homepage was taken down by Mr.Sh3ll from Arabic-M Group of hackers .

I was able to track from which website he has come :

Host: 95.170.219.3
    Http Code: 200 Date: Jul 26 02:12:29 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 532
    Referer: http://www.arabic-m.com/index.php?page=sites&h=Mr.Sh3ll
    Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)

    Well He had taken down the site by DEFACEMENT – It literally means taking down the web server by means of using Exploits . Well He managed to change on the index.php file of our blog. I guess so it must be an RFI exploit in the php file.

    What is Defacement ?

    By the way he fails in long run , i managed to get back the site , nothing was deleted or changed , no passwords were found by him . He didn’t access the Secret areas of the website ;) . Probably some noob using a 2001 hack exploit . By the way i fixed all folder permissions , which will prevent him from accessing the folders or creating a c99.php attack exploit .

    The site is Secure now ! Everyone is safe :D

      No lol , don't even know them , they just deface peoples site for fun and place it in their website , i reported their site and now it no longer exists … and hope he also does not exist .. lol …
